2022 Opening Remarks

I am very pleased to have the 54th International Regular Conference face to face this year. It is also true that there have been some regrets about holding it online due to COVID-19 Pandemic last two years.

The Korean Society for Food Science of Animal Resources is well known for its expertise as the largest society in Korea related to animal-derived foods. It is also a representative academic society that publishes Food Science of Animal Resources (FSAR), an international academic journal.

This International Conference will be co-hosted by the Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI) and the National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), and this academic conference will be held at the Korea Food Research Institute from May 19 to 21, 2022 with a theme of “Paradigm Shift in Innovative Technologies for Sustainale Foods of Animal Resources”. About 300 scholars, researchers, and graduate students from home and abroad will attend, and recent academic and industrial important topics will be announced.

In particular, there is a tour of the Korea Food Research Institute for graduate students, so I hope that the desired purpose will be achieved through a lot of participation. I expect that excellent results will be announced and full discussions will take place through this conference, and I wish everyone good health!
